On this page you will find out about the clubs and other activities which are organised by the Ipswich Blind Society. If you would like any further information about any of these activities or you would like to enquire about taking part, please feel free to telephone the Ipswich Blind Society Office on 01473 219712.
The IBS subsidises taxis for all of these clubs to collect and return those needing transport from door to door.
Guided Walks Programme Weather dependent, the society arranges walks starting and finishing at a public house so bevereges can be purchased for those who wish to indulge.  ‘Blink’ ‘Blink’ is our club for younger members. The group meets socially once per month for a drink, or meal or for a particular activity at a pre-arranged venue. This group is a great way for our younger members to make new friends, stay in contact and to get tips and advice from each other.

Summer Holiday To be arranged
Guided Walks Our Guided Walks Programme has been designed to venture out of Ipswich to explore new areas. The walks have been arranged by Charles and Betty Robertson. Each walk is circular, and starts and finishes at a local public house, with transport provided to and from each venue from Crown Street lay-by, Ipswich. Many thanks to Charles and Betty for organising these walks.
Whilst there will be sighted helpers on these walks, if you know a sighted helper who could accompany you they would be most welcome. Walkers should be prepared for uneven or slippery surfaces, stiles, mud, puddles, rain, and plenty of fresh air and exercise!
