Hi Everyone

Just to let you know of an opportunity coming up to take part in VI tennis in Ipswich.

The Ipswich Tennis Club on Henley Road will be running 6 weekly sessions on Thursday afternoons from 12pm – 1.30pm, starting on Thursday 5th November. These sessions will be free to attend and require a minimum of 6 participants.

VI tennis is played using modified rules and equipment, including lower nets and soft balls that rattle to indicate their location.

Goalball weekly sessions

Welcome to our second 2017 series of guided walks in the Suffolk Countryside.

Each walk is circular and involves a stop at a pub for refreshments. Transport will be provided from Crown Lay-by in Crown Street and return.

To book a place on a walk, please telephone the Office on 01473 219712. Sighted helpers are most welcome!

Saturday 27th May 2017:

Start/Finish Point:            Coddenham Village Community Centre *

Outward Transport:         Minibus leaving Crown lay-by at 10.30am. Arriving at 10.50am

Walk Start Time:              11. 00am

Distance:                         Circular walk 3.5 miles

Return Transport:            Leaving the Swan Pub, Westerfield at 2.30 pm

Outward Transport:      Minibus leaving Crown lay-by at 10.30.am. Arriving at 10.50am     

Walk Start Time:           11.00am 

Distance:                      Circular walk 3.5 miles

Return Transport:         Leaving the Pub at 2.30pm approx

 

Saturday 22nd July 2017:

Start/Finish Point         Suffolk Food Hall, Wherstead

OutwardTransport       Minibus leaving Crown St lay-by at 10.30am. Arriving at 10.50am.

Walk start time            11.00am

Distance                       Circular walk 3.5 miles  

Return Transport:        Leaving the Food Hall at 2.30pm approx

Whilst there will be sighted helpers on the walk, if a sighted helper can accompany you they would be most welcome.

Walkers should be prepared for uneven or slippery surfaces, stiles, mud, puddles, rain...... and plenty of fresh air and exercise.      

If you are visually impaired and want to try a new and exhilarating sport, come and try archery at the British Blind Sport special taster day.  Specifically tailored for anyone who just wants to have a a go, this is the perfect way to challenge yourself and hit your targets!
